NJ Civil War 150th Committee will not appraise your item; we are interested in the
research aspect of your items and introducing them to a larger general research
community for study and comparison. We will keep your name anonymous should you
desire.
The USS Passaic test firing into the
Palisades on the Hudson River
near Fort Lee, NJ in Nov 1862. This
created a Panic along on the
Palisades as many resident,
unaware of any Naval gun test
firing, thought the Confederate
Navy was sailing up the Hudson
and shelling New York City and
New Jersey,
